Shallow Stream - Deep Woods/ The Pride of No Place

I have to come to this unremarkable “one street city” to teach once a week. I like to get there early, so I can make the most of my free time up the road, where these very peculiar shaped mountains are. For variety’s sake/ and love of trees, I found myself a good spot on top of a big boulder to paint this.
A fair number of people come to the gorge here to splash around in the ankle deep water regularly. I went hiking here for a few spare hours one day, and saw no signs of anyone else on the paths through the woods, up up up the mountain.
