About this work:


This is a large acrylic painting on canvas measuring 66" x 48" in size that has been framed with a rustic solid wood frame. It was done in 1983 while I was attending NYU for my Masters Degree in studio art and led to a stylistic change and my adoption of my slashing and throwing action style of the time period to come. It is named "Seagulls" as it looked a little like a Flock of Seagulls flying through a colorful action painting.
