I thought that during this visit in my home island the best gift would be rice, considering the high rise of food prices and the gasoline plus the typhoon that had recently hit the island. But then I thought that rice that should be given out as a gift, little as it is, should be worked for, which should be good for the whole community. The Hingotanan Island has been engaging in Seaweeds farming, leaving plastics and straws-- as materials for seaweeds farming, filling the beachgrounds.
THe offer for rice to be paid for by labour of collecting beach garbage became a very good program which satisfied everyone. Then the local folk began saying, "Oh, we`ve got the white beach after all!". I have many more photos of this iniitiative and people`s positive response.

this is such a great photograph. I especially love the little boy in the foreground's expression!
