Diana war in der römischen Mythologie die Göttin des Mondes (und damit Gegenstück von Luna) und der Fruchtbarkeit, Beschützerin der Frauen und Mädchen. Sie war Helferin bei der Niederkunft, hatte jedoch auch Züge einer Todesgöttin. Sie war Jupiters Verbindung mit Latona entsprungen, und war die Schwester des Apollo. Sie blieb Jungfrau und vermählte sich nicht.

Später wurde sie der griechischen Artemis angeglichen und so auch zur Göttin der Jagd.

Diana was in the Roman mythology, the goddess of the moon (and thus counterpart from Luna) and fertility, protector of women and girls. She was helper in childbirth, but also trains had a death goddess. It was Jupiter conjunction with Latona arisen, and was the sister of Apollo. It remained virgin and not married.

Later, she was the Greek Artemis aligned and so also the goddess of hunting.
