This was hewn from a piece of snadstone reclaimed from a 140 year old church.
The stone had to be sculpted into something which maintained a presence of where it had been and represented.
I call the finished piece Torthuill, which is Irish gaelic for “Fertile” the passing on of wisdom has to be a fertile passing. Old dead wisdom is not green,nor fertile. The sculpt is of a double figure
