About this work:

  • Prints
  • archive ink on paper
  • 45.5cm x 33cm

An original digitally generated image. Printed with archive quality ink on acid-free paper as a limited edition of one hundred prints. The chimera is a creature from Greek mythology. The word is now used generally to denote a fantastic idea or figment of the imagination. Chimera, or chimère, in architecture, is a term loosely used for any grotesque, fantastic, or imaginary beast used in decoration. This image was inspired by a small "Janus" sculpture I saw in Volterra in Italy, which grew into something stranger when I was working on it.
