This oil painting was stolen in 1980. It featured a view of the rolling hills just outside Cooperstown, NY. Painted at sunset and as darkness covered the land, but the sky still was lit up and colorful. It had a hand restored antique frame that was just becoming part of my work during the 1979-1980 time period. I was painting the art to match the frame, shortly later, in the early 1980's, I started painting the frame as a part of my work.
