This is an JET Reversible circa 1987-1997 oil on wood that is pre-framed as part of it's construction, which lends it to be physically turned around right on the wall, or stood up like a piece of sculpture. Prepared in the same ways that the old masters created their oil paintings on wooden panels, it features a cool side and a warm side and is painted with the highest quality oil paints. This temperature change reflected here in the orange man (my self-portrait as the heater side) and to some degree the image of a woman (possibly my wife) as the cool side. My ancestors come from the extreme north and exist well in cold climates as the body gives off excessive heat. My wife's ancestors come from the extreme south and when she is placed in a northern environment, is always cold. It also could refer to personality traits as much as it could to energy levels. 25" x 36" in size.
