Commission - 'portrait' aiming for the inner life of the client incorporating the sun sign of Gemini and twin faces behind a public face, a dynamic life force symbolised by the implements of war and peace, female acolyte supporting fetishes of the four elements, a breastplate with lightening emblem signifying protection through mental agility and winged feet making reference to Hermes, god of eloquence and persuasion, forever the curious traveller on the move. The overall impression of the painting intends to convey the subject's identification and fascination with Native American culture.
