The Long Arm

I started utilizing the frame, long before anyone and large antique frames were prized to integrate and incorporate with the work. The frame became a part of the work around 1979-80 and eventually were painted on too. This frame was made to fit this piece. This is an entirely hand-made and painted original oil painting on linen and is ready to hang on the wall. It was worked on over the course of many years from 1983-1987 and I consider this to be one of my best paintings. The linen has been prepared the same way as the old masters. It is one of my "Puzzle Pieces" where many items are blended and fitted into it. You can look at it for a long time and not pick it all up. Hand painted and highly detailed solid wood frame is included.
