About this work:


The frilled lizard lives in Australia. When they feel threatened, they open their frill and hiss. If that doesn't scare away the threat, they run at it, taking the first opportunity to run up a tree and hide. With the frill flattened, they blend right in to the bark.

Drawn in charcoal on paper, 2008. Prints available (contact me). Original unframed, shipped in a tube.
