This is a JET III original self-portrait circa 1989 and made by hand spraying ink and by utilizing an airbrush over an emulsion. It was inspired by all the Pop Art work of Warhol, whom I met and had lunch at his studio in 1985. It was done with a more modern photo airbrushing printmaking technique that I pioneered than just silk screen printing and is a one of a kind image. It is strikingly similar and a direct predecessor to computer based Photoshop work today, but this was made by hand and not by computer at all! This photograph of me from 1987 was manipulated by enlarging and by the way the colors were hand sprayed onto emulsion. Matting and framing is the responsibility of the collector. It is on synthetic paper and is approx. 20" x 25".
