About this work:


There is a certain light at the moment. Gone is the rich summer light replaced by a silvery grey light. Like this scene on the boulevard Tor in to-days painting ( also known as Tor Strasse ). The light nearly washes away the fine shades, what is left are only strong edges. The first time I saw a light like this was in Aberdeen, I think Aberdeen is even called the silver city ? ( if there are any Scottish readers in tonight please correct me if I am wrong ).
