About this work:

This painting is to celebrate the Brazilian Indigenous tribes ingenuity of creating a "Coat of Arms" by creating a particular weave for each tribe and keeping it as a means of identification between tribes. This gives an identity and a sense of belonging to the social group. This shows although they are considered primitive in comparison to "cultural societies" in their simplicity they had already understood the importance of being united as a human social group living harmoniously within nature. This work is all done with a pallet knife.
