"The City" is a 2012 original Found Objects installation sculpture by Heather Waller. The piece involves the living, breathing connection of art, wine, music and the city, where it all seems to come alive on its own. The piece was made out of found and donated objects, including three acoustic guitars, two electric guitar fretboards, two bass fretboards, chain, nails, fabric, and over 150 wine and beer bottles which were cleaned by hand, primed by hand, and spray painted with the ability to draw on the bottles in chalk.
This sculpture took approximately three months time to compile and piece together all of the objects. Hours each day were put into both the detail, blueprints, and cleaning/prepping of all of the objects involved in the piece.
This sculpture will soon be on display in Placerville, California with the El Dorado Arts Council. Dates to come soon.
This is both Heather's first installation sculpture, as well as her first found objects sculpture. Heather Waller has been doing three dimensional art for approximately one (1) year as of Spring 2012. Please leave feedback, and if you feel inclined to make an offer on this piece, feel free to do so!
