"The Many Faces of Adam & Eve: Once It Was A Garden"
"The Many Faces of Adam & Eve: Once It Was A Garden"... by John L. Chandler... Original 16" x 24" acrylic Expressionist painting on masonite board with some "Brut" influences.
Inspired, in part, by Biblical reference: Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden... we see the original temptress - Eve - in what is left of the original garden over-indulging in the forbidden fruit (the apple) as snakes appear as a kind of warning to the pair. On the outside, Eve has begun to appear as bad as she is on the inside. And - I suppose - there are many human faces that come with original sin.

I admire your Talent and Art, but being a Woman, I must say I find it somewhat offensive. Your "World" appears complicated.

Hi: while I do not really mind a bit of controversy - it is never my intention to offend anyone. For me, this particular piece of work is merely my imaginative and loose interpretation of "The Garden of Eden." Thanks for looking! John

One of the best things about art, its that it can be interpreted and expresd in so manny different ways, everyone has a diffent view, often people try to figure out the big picture, and ofyen forget Little small details that make a particular piece unique...people can admire or criticize at the end of the day, only John knows what this awsome work its all about.....

I don't find this offensive at all...simply an expression of the idea of the story. I think it is quite interesting and lively. Good job!
