Currently, due to traditional preference of boys to girls in China and India and the use of birth control to get boys vs. girls has led to an imbalance between sexes. In China the imbalance is 121:100 vs. the typical 105:100 boys to girls ratios. This distortion of natural selection has led to a shortage of women to marry, kidnapping of women for marriage and prostitution as well as increased demonstration by frustrated men sometimes leading to terrorism. This is the new face of social destruction leading to a likely regional war.
