Roots Woven in the Wall of Mud

The color palette is practically monochrome but the image is filled with a rich variation of tones and textures. The light that floods in from the right highlights, but never fully illuminates the image.
I was a bit concerned that this image, being so dark, would not show up well but it’s not too bad, at least on my monitor.
