Ali Zülfikar basically uses only wool colours and developed self-made vegetable dyes for his paintings because of the particularly bright color and because these pigments contribute more than other colors the trace of the earth itself.
The connection to ground is especially important to him in his paintings. It is to the ordinary people's everyday lives of millennia-old history of Mesopotamia, connected with all underlying nature as the human being find his way in simple moves from building houses to making tea, accompanied by grief and sorrow and on boundless wings desire.
