A summerday at the Campus of the Martin-Luther-University in Halle at the Saale River. This photography shows the western front of the "Lions-Building" which houses the old auditorium of the University. It is called so because of the lions at its main entrance. The remarkable building was built according to the plans of a scolar of Schinkel. The beautiful trees shown here had to be cut down today. However, new ones will be planted again in a few days.
