The Rage is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist, Jaeda DeWalt’s, The Emotional Bleed Out series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection.

ABOUT THIS IMAGE:
Anger is a rather foreign feeling to me. I was not allowed to express my anger as a child. Instead, i became passive aggressive, turning my rage inside out. It usually manifested as self-destructive behaviors or depression.

As an adult, i am still learning how best to acknowledge my anger, how to express it and let it move through me.

WHAT THIS IMAGE REPRESENTS:
The images of me in the red dress represent my repressed anger. The image of me screaming in the cage represents the quiet rage inside me
