This Garter Snake that I am holding for this shot had been born during the spring and along with some of it's siblings lived in a pile of grass clippings behind the farm house. There were small holes in the grass and as the sun warmed it up they poked their heads out of the holes. It was a funny sight, but if you came too close they ducked back in.
