I'm thinking this might need another layer in the center over the darkest area...something light, something that pops!

Abstract painting is quite difficult..If you want of course to have a good result. In your abstract work i can see your love for nature, harmony and colours, so i think you are doing very well.. Its personal, lyric and it has so many nice details -reminds me a bit o Klimt- Anyway, i am curious for your next work!
