This photograph was taken on the night of May 1st, 2010. It was inspired by the beautiful lights of the New York Skyline. I was right in between Weehawken and Hoboken, NJ, USA in a very special spot that I found. I stood there on a Friday night, directly across the river from the world city on the New Jersey coastline, dreaming of the busy city and all the fun activities people were having over there. I stood taking multiple long exposure photographs and watching the activities across the Hudson River on the New York side. I even helped some young lovers by taking photos of them with their own camera. I taught them how to adjust their white balance settings for the lights. I really like the soft color blurs of pink and red that I captured here on the river surface and also of the various city lights. The composition appears to be a figure eight, an infinite Mobius Strip. I didn’t immediately know about it, but something was going on over there in the city, a car bomb Terrorist Attack in Times Square! I had wondered why there were helicopters flying at night along the river in front of me. Look how it is all lit up in the 42nd Street area!

.....it's a great take..slow exposure allowing for movement in the river works really well..almost giving the impression of ice...nice one!
