Zurich, December 1 - object artist Tom Strala presents his
latest design: "Comic", a sculpted lamp which looks as if
it's just about to get up and go.

"Comic" is definitely the most suitable name for this lamp,
which was designed by the Zurich object artist Tom Strala
and will be displayed along with some of his other work at
his gallery at Dufourstrasse 169 from December 4.

The shape formed by "Comic's" mains lead follows exactly
the same dynamic line used to show how comic-book cha-
racters skip and jump. Although "Comic" will surely draw
some smiles with its cheeky appearance, the lamp still looks
decidedly elegant and capable of holding its own in a sophis-
ticated setting.
