As a teenager, with the adrenaline rush and hormonal changes that’s rapidly taking place in the growing body, one is prone to mood changes and fluctuating ideas. Often the heart overrides the mind. In this painting, I have portrayed such a mindset through a girl who gives a higher priority to what her heart says. However, our hardships as we know them are trifles compared to the pain and sufferings our forefathers went through. Teenagers of this generation should learn to count their blessings and realise that the pain and suffering out there are of a higher degree than what they complain about. Take a second and feel grateful that you are not one of the children who has lost a parent in the war or starved for days or is sick without medical attention.
