This is a monochromatic acrylic on canvas with a few slightly abstracted koi carps as the foreground objects and lines mimicking the fins and natural curves of the fish as the background. The foreground objects appear forward with high contrasting tones while the background was muted with lower contrasting tones. The foreground objects also have dark black borders to help define their shapes while the background objects have muted gray outlines to help lower the contrast. The main focal object in the lower right corner has the highest contrasting palette and the secondary foreground objects have more toned down contrasts. A few black circles are placed in the painting to help keep the eyes moving. The curvilinear lines give the overall piece kinetic movement and some legato rhythm. Better picture to come.
