Happy to, Praveen, thank you for asking! The Eastern Church defines an "icon" as a representation of some sacred personage, as Christ or a saint or angel, painted usually on a wood surface and venerated itself as sacred while the basic definition is simply
a sign or representation that stands for its object by virtue of a resemblance or analogy to it. For me, nature, has always has been iconic of a presence greater than mankind. I wanted to pay tribute to the abundant miracles living around us all that have guided towards the human being I have become. An ethereal "self portrait" if you will...thank you for inviting me to share this. Diane
