This has been photographed very close to the final resting place of William Cody (Buffalo Bill). My view here is from the same hill that overlooks both the Eastern Plains, and the Western Rocky Mountains, on each side. Atmospheric Perspective in art terms means that things get a little lighter as you go back into space, this hill is also at high altitude and provides an interesting view of both the hills receding into the distance and the vast western skies. The Native Americans would have used this hill as a lookout for herds of Bison (Buffalo) on the plains.
