About this work:

I remember sitting across the table from my father inside McDonalds during the the later part of my senior year of high school. "What are you going to do after high school?" he asked. "I would like to go to art school," I replied. He was a military man, Marines. Art made no sense to him. "What good is that going to do you? You cant make a living with art." he said. I picked up a fry. It was good. We had this discussion many times over the years about college. I wasnt going to waste my energy. "What about the Marines? I would be happy to help that make that happen for you," he said. It went down hill from there as it always did. For some reason that particular conversation sticks out from all the others...Maybe it was the french fries or maybe it was at that moment I finally realized I was on my own with this one... Well, here is to him and the french fries and the fact that the artwork is still there after 17 years...Enjoy!
