In this series of nudes (titled Nude No. 1 to Nude No. 4) I was attempting to push colour to its absolute limit while maintaining the tone and form of the nude. I wanted to make a beautiful nude even more beautiful by exaggerating the colour to an unnatural state in order to gain interest. Of all of my paintings this series was my favorite to create and I plan on heading further into this direction of painting.

Of the series, I believe this is my most successful painting. It is certainly my favorite.
