At a ceremony near Goroka (the opening of an airstrip at Bank), I was told that they also crush dragonfly wings to get the sparkling sheen. Such pride in their appearance, and you capture it so beautifully, every time! Love your portraits!

Papua New Guinea
I met this competitor at the Goroka Show from the Eastern Highlands Province of PNG. His skin was blackened with charcoal for his decoration and was so wet from exertion from competing that it relected the color or the sky.
