I live in Westminster, Colorado, and we don't have any bridges similar to this. London is just a fantastic city, and I love painting scenes from there. I have walked across this bridge several times in the past, but not in the snow. (A driving rain once.) I love painting these night time views.

Ex:

I was there in London when it snowed this time , we had to get dad to hospital for chemo and it started snowing that evening , we drove back in thick snow and it was wicked . not so fun was the fact that we couldnt visit him the day he had the chemo , the snow was 12 inches deep outside his window , we couldnt get there. hes ok though :-) it was amazing coming out of Kings College Hospital and the streetlights made it all gold and thick slow flakes were coming down , i love that you can hear them :-))) it was special . This brought it back . great painting . :-)

little dirt:

Takes me back decades to English Lit. Wordsworth's "Composed Upon Westminster Bridge" was my professor's favorite poem. Did my term paper on "Boswell's London Journal" including his tidbit about how the bridge was, after a night of imbibing, the place to find ladies of the evening. My prof. claimed I had ruined the sonnet for her forever (but still gave me the 'A'...lol). Thanks for the memory :)
