This is a large JET Reversible highest quality oil painting that started out in my studio in 1984-85. The frame was built as an integral part of the artwork and is solid poplar, The 1/2" thick panel is birch hardwood ply and slotted into the frame, then prepared with hide glue and oil painting primer. This heavyweight is then suspended from a set of uprights made from solid oak and prepared in the same manner as above. The painting is bolted with (6) Stainless steel stove bolts, but can be removed from the upright screen arrangement and hung on the wall. Being a true JET Reversible, or Convertible and a unique original concept that I invented four years earlier, the painting can be reversed on a wall, hung from a ceiling, or just rolled around freestanding with it's own matching easel. I worked on this painting for well over 22 years, little by little, and it is probably the most detailed and intricate of any of my artworks to date. The actual painting measure 43.5" x 48.5" framed and measures 25" along the cross pieces x 45.5" wide x 54" high not counting the wheels on the easel. The easel can easily be removed with a wrench. You can separate part of room with it, use it as a dressing screen, or just roll it around your environment.
