Art History

This is a framed original hand pulled silkscreen print from my "Sketchbook Series". It has been matted and framed in a custom heavily encrusted and decorated antique frame that has been modernized and restored to match the art. Framed, it measures 32" x 28 and the art measures 17" x 12.5". It is all drawn by hand, then the various drawings are photographed and sized accordingly, then combined and re-photographed into an artwork on a photographic plate. The design is then silk-screened onto paper with ink. In this case a solid black background and a white positive image on Ivory paper. I only made two prints of this image in 1989 and this is one of them.
