Camille Dela Rosa was born on the 29th of July, 1982. She is the daughter of the late noted Filipino painter, Ibarra Dela Rosa. Camille was a former voice major at the University of the Philippines. Her mother, Ethel, honed her to be a singer rather than to be a painter. She was once a member of ABS-CBN’s talent pool in early 90’s, performed in various musical plays directed by the country’s noted directors like Tony Mabesa, Tony Espejo, Bhen Cervantes and the like, a band vocalist, and at a tender age of 15 was trained by the late pianist Rudy Francisco to sing at Hyatt Regency’s Calesa Bar. But despite her acquired talent, she retained her innate longing to paint and follow what her heart so desires. Camille joined the country’s art scene on the last quarter of 1998, after the demise of her dad. Thus gifted with her genes added to her fervent enthusiasm to perfect her craft she became so prolific credited with fourteen solo art exhibitions and a number of group shows.
