About tsimpokaino:
My artwork was designed specially to examine our environment and our surroundings. I chose to examine aspects of the human face and figure through silkscreen, stone lithography and large installation sculptures. My artwork is designed to create a reaction through size, bold colours and contrast. My work revolves around places I have visited and experienced. My reactions towards these experiences are then documented through an expressive visual composition. I am active in taking photographs and manipulating them to best suit my purpose in the piece.
My interest in landscape, architecture and contrast are predominant motifs throughout my pieces and are contrasted with underlying opinions towards specific situations. My colour scheme and process is considered in conjunction with the feelings portrayed through my work.
