What I am:
Artist, musician, computer technician, father of 5 (not including the dog and the cat), metalhead, KJ (karaoke DJ), geek, Tami's "Echo".
What I do:
I am the PC Support Specialist for the SAILS Library Network. I paint, draw, sketch, what-have-you when I'm feeling inspired. I also enjoy playing piano, singing, and writing music.
The Fam:
Tami, my angel, and I share 4 kids... Julia Paige (6 yrs), Olivia Grace (5 yrs), Trinity Jade (2 yrs), and Phoenix Alexandra (1 yr). I also have a son, Joshua Keenan, who lives with his mother. All great kids, with such different personalities. Chaos is good for the soul...
My Work:
Most of what you'll see here is from my series based on emotions or states of being. My theme is pretty simple, as is my execution. By using portraiture, or multiple portraiture, I utilize body gestures and facial expressions to bring across a particular feeling or mood. The slightly soft treatment of the figures gives the effect of the dreamlike state of being inside someone's mind, and feeling what they feel. My use of simple backgrounds brings more focus to the figures, keeping you aware of the purpose of the piece.
I've been out of the art-loop for a little while now, and I'm interested in getting back out there and improving/expanding my style.
