Your work is so beautiful! My sister makes jewelry, and from time to time I make earrings into a necklace or vice versa. But what you're doing is really unique, and I like it. Gorgeous!

About suzannebruening:

…I received a BFA in sculpture and a BS in art education from my hometown college in 2001. Even with high marks and support from my professors I realized that the art market wasn’t what it was cracked up to be. So, with bills to pay, I found other avenues where I succeeded. And making art was put on the back burner until the day I burnt out. I realized that I simply stopped thinking. I became a lady who was a “workaholic”. By becoming numb to the world, I realized that I must create to keep my mind at peace.
…I took a fused glass class at the local art center nearly seven years ago. And I bought my first kiln before the class was over. I fell in love with the process and technique. I love how you can layer and combine opals, cathedrals, dichroics, and enamels to make jewelry and light forms. Over the past years my kiln collection has grown and I have learned to manipulate the kiln to my liking. I now teach the same beginning fused glass class that I took.
…My goal is to create quality forms for me and in turn, for you. The best part of making is the positive reaction. I am happiest when my work makes you happy.
