About soulkat:

I'm still perfecting my bio. But, I was born and raised in New Orleans and get alot of my inspiration from growing up there and my southern and South Louisiana roots. My mother was an artist, but no longer paints because of impaired vision. She's was/is a great inspiration. I guess I've always wanted to paint, but job, family, children always came first. Now that I'm older and the kids are grown, I have this burning desire to paint. I'm self taught and everyday I paint something, even if it is just a few strokes. I love color and my pieces are very colorful. I'm continually learning. I have sold a couple of my pieces online both nationally and internationally.
