For 16 years, I have been a full-time fine artist, earning a living from the creation of finely detailed paintings and mixed-media work. My work hangs in private and corporate collections all across America--most likely in every state--and across the world including Canada, England, France, Germany, Holland, and Austria. Some more notable collectors include Leonard Nimoy, Joyce Maynard (author of To Die For and Baby Love), Charles Gaines (author of Pumping Iron and Stay Hungry), Patricia Richardson (actress from Home Improvement, Ulee’s Gold, and other movies), Todd Holland (Emmy winning director of Malcolm in the Middle, Twin Peaks, Friends, Felicity, and The Larry Sanders Show), Xavier Roberts (creator of the original Cabbage Patch Dolls), JSG Boggs (the infamous “money” artist), Crown Equipment Corporation ....
I have won over 60 awards at major art fairs across America, including 19 Best of Show and 17 Best of Painting. In 2007 I was awarded an artist fellowship by the Alabama Council on the Arts. Reviews of my work in magazines and newspapers abound. I have been honored with numerous solo gallery shows across America as well as several museum exhibits--including a solo show at the Birmingham Museum of Art in 2000 making me one of the few Alabama artists ever to be given the privilege.
