I am a fine art photographer from Grand Rapids Michigan. Since 1997, I have been living in an RV, traveling across the United States, Canada and Mexico as well as traveling internationally. Traveling has provided me with countless opportunities to photograph an extensive range of people, places, flora, fauna and anything else that captures my attention. I display my photographs in exhibits and at http://www.flickr.com/photos/ruthhager and http://www.ruth-hager.artistwebsites.com and on http://www.facebook.com/ruthhagerphotos.
My photo exhibit "Honoring the Women of the World" has been shown in three West Michigan venues. Forty-five of my photos have been published. For ArtPrize 2010 in Grand Rapids Michigan, my entry "Michigan Wildflowers" was shown at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. In 2011, my photo "Sunlight Plays in Antelope Canyon" won fourth prize in a Bumblejax photo contest. In December, 2010, I coordinated an "Art in the Park" event in SKP Park Sierra in Coarsegold, CA and exhibited several photos and photo montages. For ArtPrize 2011, my photo montage titled "Descent into Heaven" with sixteen photos of Antelope Canyon was shown at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. My portrait "Introverts Anonymous Meeting" was exhibited from May 25 through June 10 in Festival 2012 Regional Arts Competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan. August 3-5, 2012, I exhibited five small photo montages called "The Heart of Petra" and "Sandstone Sunsongs" at New York City's Premier edition of Parallax AF New York International Art Exhibition at 82 Mercer in Soho.
My large photo montage "Petra Rocks" can be seen from Sept. 11 through Oct. 21 in Lowell, Michigan at King Gallery, 149 South Hudson. It is part of the LowellArts Collage and Assemblage and Construction Exibition. The Michigan Collage, Assemblage and Construction (Art) Exhibition is a state-wide, juried competition. I will be showing my photo montage of the colorful cottages in Asbury Grove entitled "Coming Home" for ArtPrize 2012 in City Art Gallery in Grand Rapids from Sept 19-Oct. 7.
My primary goal in exhibiting my photographs is to share some of the beauty that I have found in my travels. If you find that my photos nourish you, please buy one. You will receive many years of nourishment for only a penny or two a day. Please email me at email@example.com with any questions or comments about my artwork.
