"How things get together"

Daily astonishment and things I experience around me inspire, if not force, me to give an account of big and small events.

During walks I observe, collect materials and sounds, draw, translate and play with their meaning. This alernatively results in concrete or more associative images, photo′s (polaroids) or concepts for monumental work.

Paintings arise from scetches and are subsequently formed from a number of lines into a composition in wich layers and handwriting are important. Colours are either exuberant or subtle and paint is applied in transparant layers.

They come into being in a continuous process of change and growth. Exlorations in time, landscape, nature, environment, culture, light and space.

Disciplines: drawings, paintings, mixed media and monumental work
