About red-bimmer:
Who am I really? Red Bimmer (after my car, a red BMW). I'm also called Knight Pix (Knight Pictures) professionally and on flickr.
I'm what you could call a struggling but upcoming photographer in London. Idealist, dreamer, artist, non-conformist? Who knows. I for one don't. I'm still trying to figure it out.
I see beauty in everything and everyone around me. I strive to rise above society's shallow and hollow perception of beauty and look beyond the superficial to see the good in everything and everyone. I use the medium of photography to come to terms with myself and the world around me. I have a deep fascination with humanity, indeed the human body, and all its beauty.
Life is too short to waste hating the way we look or the imperfect world around us. I believe life is for living, for appreciating the beauty of God's creation and celebrating our humanity in all its imperfection. I am also in awe of the sheer beauty of the world in which we live, everything - flowers, sunrise, sunset, trees, clouds, you name it.
I try to capture this as best as possible in my pictures. I don't claim to be a good photographer. Far from it. I'm just learning and there's so much to learn here. I welcome comments on my photos (lets face it, some might look pretty crappy compared to yours).
I do not restrict myself to any particular genre at the moment. Most of my current work is landscape photography, primarily around the River Thames, since I live close to it.
I would love to try out portraits of people and life models as well at some point, though trees, statues and boats are cheaper. They don't argue and don't need payment.
