Mark Planisek is an artist living and working in Washington, D.C.

Planisek has exhibited his art at The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., The Museum Of Contemporary Art, Washington, D.C., Elmhurst Art Museum, Chicago, Illinois, Columbia University, New York, N.Y., SoHo Photo Foundation, New York, N.Y., Concepto Gallery, Brooklyn, N.Y., The Fine Art Center En Taos, Taos, New Mexico and S.R.O. Gallery, Texas Tech University.
His exhibits abroad include: Tsinghua University Art Gallery, Beijing, China , The Lalit Kala Academy of Art, New Delhi, India, Area Gallery, Toronto Ontario, Ryerson Gallery, Toronto, Ontario, Gallerie Ambiente’, Gelnhaussen, Germany.
A drawer and painter by training and by heart, he started doing photography in college.
He developed his photo collage style partly through his 15+ years as a professional graphic artist and illustrator.
