What a stunning collection of art. Anthropological in a way with intimations of Giacommeti. Highly intellectual and imaginative. Very impressive. I favored one, but there are many of equal value. Thanks for sharing. Chris

Hi Patrick! So it's a day later, I've had lots of coffee in the meantime and I can answer your question now: "what is reality? Is art concernd with phenomenons or meanings or something else?" I think for me art is very exciting when it is both representational and it takes us far beyond - to other levels at the same time. I don't think ahead about saying anything when I'm doing my art, I am just very moved by beauty - and very curious. I'm curious about how to represent something using different materials and I am fascinated by the human figure, and I slip into a different space when I am doing my art. I'm not thinking very many thoughts besides whether I should clean my brush or not. And if something feels beautiful to me - I stop. Later, if I still think it's something beautiful I may stick a title on it and save it, but I never think ahead of time what I'm trying to "say". I've heard artists here in France say "all art is political" and that kind of gives me a stomach ache. What do you think? (And as for reality - we're all making it up as we go along...) All the best. Ali

Hi Patrick, Thanks so much for your comment and favoriting some of my work. I really like your work; love your wooden sculpture and the bird shape as well - so great to see sculptors here on the site. I appreciated your question, but I've got to confess I'll need to have some more coffee and wake-up more before I can attempt to answer you. I the meantime I wish you a beautiful morning. I'll be back in touch soon... Ali
