I am a Filipino-American artist and I have been in the United States for more than a decade now but I still have a lot of ties with two distinguished art associations in the Philippines. Before I came to this country, I used to make a living drawing,painting,and producing sculptures such as these for 25 years.Now I am trying to pick up where I left off.
Through the years I have developed my own style of sculpture and I have invented the hand and automatic tools that I used to shape whatever sheet metal I choose to work on.
I will also present my oil and watercolor paintings,my pen and ink and pencil drawings.
In between all my activities,I hope to finish the how-to book that I am currently working on.
I love to paint scenes of rural life,landscapes,and people in the Philippines where I grew up not only because they affected me so much but,more so because I wish to preserve these scenes,at least on canvas or paper,for the succeeding generations of youths all over the world. Most of these sceneries are fast disappearing and being replaced by the ever expanding urban development but,nevertheless,they are still so vivid in my memory and I aim to share them in my artworks.
I also like to use different media and subject matters to express myself. I like to experiment on what else I could do-whatever comes to my mind whenever.
