About mirabogicevic:
I paint directly from life, without the use of photographs. The often ordinary objects I choose to paint are juxtaposed in such a way as to render them unusual and sometimes humourous. In my subconscious there is always the influence of the art I have seen during regular trips to Italy.
I have a BA Hons. from Goldsmiths' College and also attended Camberwell and Central School of Art and Design, all in London. As well as painting, I have also worked in textiles and ceramics, all three of which have been widely exhibited. Examples can be seen on my personal website.
I now live in York and when I am not painting or doing other art-related things, I enjoy learning Italian, dancing salsa, ballroom and Latin, walking in our beautiful countryside and wildlife-friendly gardening.
