About marissah:

I am an aspiring artist in the sense that art means the world to me. It is a natural high, an outlet for bad energy, the form of expression, and what I am meant to do. I grew up in a home in which art was valued, as my mom is an art teacher, and am about to head off to an art college to study Visual and Critical Studies, defined as "cultural literacy" with the goal to become a more well-rounded artist. With my travels as well as my art, I strive to achieve a more objective view of the world, one less influenced by society. I hope to express that in my artwork, calling attention to simple truths in life, both happy and sad, looking forwards in backwards, and in celebration and mourning. Artwork is reflection of the world, and my artwork is merely a window into my mind.
