About jwwaschka:
I am a self-taught Outsider/Folk/Visionary/Altered ART artist living and working in Arkansas. I work from my studio in my home which is called The Enchanted Garden Studio of Art.
I have been painting for the last 21 years. I work mainly with collages on canvas, using acrylic paints and oil pastels, along with my own hand-carved stamps. I also create original spirit dolls, assemblages, painted wooden boxes, bowls, and other items. I like to use many different types of papers, labels, sheet music, old photographs, and found objects in my work. I have recently done a series of paintings and assemblages related to Voodoo, Halloween, and The Day of The Dead, as well as a series devoted to images of The Virgin Mary and other Goddess figures.
